2009 EQIP Air Quality Initiative in Lane County –Ranking Criteria
Applications for the Lane County EQIP Air Quality Initiative will be screened
and then ranked for funding consideration. Forest land and orchard land are the
primary landuses targeted in this initiative. Initially, applications will be
screened into two groups based those with an existing plan for the management of
their land and those needing a management plan. High priority applications will
have an existing plan. Those without a plan will be second priority for funding
consideration.
Application ranking consists of federal, state and local questions. The
funding pool is designed to rank applications that will improve air quality
through the use of conservation plans on non-industrial private forest land and
orchards and cost-share contracts that will use a combination of conservation
practices to reduce directly emitted PM 2.5 due to combustion.
NOTE: PM 2.5 is particulate matter with aerodynamic diameter less than or
equal to 2.5 micrometers. It is a pollutant regulated under the Clean Air Act.
Listed below are the local ranking questions used for evaluating applications
for the Lane County EQIP Air Quality Initiative.
