2007 Conservation Innovation Grants - Application Info
 

Conservation benefits water quality

NRCS requests applications for Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. Applications are accepted from all 50 States, the Caribbean (Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands), and the Pacific Basin (Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands). Contingent on Congressional action, NRCS anticipates that the amount available for support of this program in FY 2007 will be approximately $20 million. Funds will be awarded through a nationwide competitive grants process. There are three CIG categories available in FY 2007:

Applications are requested from eligible government or non-government organizations or individuals for competitive consideration of grant awards for projects between one and three years in duration. This notice identifies the objectives for CIG projects, the eligibility criteria for projects, and associated instructions needed to apply to CIG.

Application Process

Interested parties must submit two copies of their application packet.

Step 1:  Submit an application packet to the Oregon NRCS State Conservationist by January 26, 2007:

Proposals must be postmarked  January 26, 2007.

Step 2:  Submit a proposal to the NRCS National Headquarters:
