Soil Survey Reports and Data

Soil survey reports and other data are the product of soil scientists, plant specialists, soil engineers and others. Reports contain many kinds of basic information about the soils in the area. This information can be helpful in making decisions about the management of soils for optimum crop production, in planning land uses for urban and suburban areas, and in determining the needs for many other uses, for example, forestry, range, wildlife, and recreation.

Access to soil survey information is provided through maps. All text and tables relate to the map symbols and the areas delineated on these maps. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of soil survey information should contact the NRCS at the USDA Service Center that services the county of interest.

The USDA Service Center can also provide a  printed soil survey report, if available.
