Supervisor Information: eAuthentication and ICAMS
New employees should receive hiring papers directly from the Human Resources
(HR) office prior to reporting. If time constraints do not allow this, the
hiring papers may be sent to you for the employee to complete when they report
for work. The hiring forms must be completed and returned to HR before the
appointment is processed. We request the forms be returned to HR five days prior
to their effective date.
HR will complete as much processing as possible before the employee enters on
duty, however, the hiring action will not be active at NFC until the second week
of the pay period in which the employee actually reports. Consequently, the
earliest an ICAMS ID and password could be provided to the employee is the
second Wednesday or Thursday of the pay period. The ICAMS ID and password
will be sent to you to share with your employee. Below, you will find
instructions on how the employee can self register with eAuthentication (WebCAAF).
However, the employee must be paid for two pay periods before he
or she will be able to self-register to obtain an eAuthentication password
(necessary for access to WebTCAS).
You will be responsible for working with your new employee to establish
access for both ICAMS and e-Authentication (WebCAAF) after you receive the
needed information from the HR office. Until your employee has an
eAuthentication password and access to WebTCAS, a hard copy timesheet must be

Do not attempt to register in eAuthentication until you have received the
ICAMS user ID and performed the required tasks in ICAMS.
