Vilsack Announces Floodplain Easement Selections Through Recovery Act Funding -- $3 Million Directed to Oregon Projects PORTLAND, OR, June 4, 2009 –Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced funding for the first national sign-up for floodplain easements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. Nationally, easements on 289 sites will cover more the 36,000 acres of land in 36 states, including three easements on 677 acres in Oregon.
